Rapidshare Again Reduces Premium User Download Limit

Looks like Rapidshare is expecting a huge increase in premium users, those users that pay for the service to receive a faster transfer rate and other comfort functions, since they introduced the new system that saw a removal of the captchas but in turn introduced speed limit for guest users.

Premium users who never had to endure the Rapidshare captchas received a 10 GB per day download limit after the changes which has now been reduced to 4 GB per day during a “so called transition period” where Rapidshare will increase their server capacities to meet the increased demand.

This in turn could mean that they will raise the limit to 10 GB or even more, once the transition period is over. Most premium users will probably not realize the change, but it will surely affect Rapidshare power users who download many GBs per day from the file hoster.

I seriously hope rapidshare makes up big time for this “so called transition period”.
