Have you ever felt the need to run multiple instances of GTalk? Personally, I do. One has my personal friends list and the other one professional.

Follow the steps to run two instances of GTalk client simultaneously:

  • Locate the existing GTalk shortcut or icon (It should be on your desktop or start menu or quick menu).
  • Once located, right click on the icon and click on “properties”
  • In the “Target:” field at the end of the line, leave a space and type /nomutex at the end of the line (look at the image below)
  • Click “OK”
