Tiny Tip

Tilt-shift miniature style photos are pictures of real-life scenes that are manipulated to look like model photographs. Now you can easily transform your existing digital camera photos into tilt-shift style miniatures using Tilt-Shift Maker.

What is tilt-shift?

From the website,

The phrase “tilt-shift” describes a photographic technique that is used to create special effects when taking a photo. A type of camera lens that can be moved (shifted) and pointed at different angles (tilted) is used. This can have the effect of changing the focus of the picture in unusual ways.

No, no, no. Tilt shift is not done with “I’m feeling lucky” To get the tilt shift effect you need parts of the picture in varying degrees of focus to simulate the depth of field you get when workign up close.
