The awards will cap a year of great recording performances as well as record sales. And, for the sixth year in a row, the ceremony will be held in the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The 2009 Grammy nominations / Grammy nominees were announced on a special concert two months ago, a departure from the usual 5 AM wake up call that has traditionally been the method of announcing nominees. Finally, after quite a long wait, the 2009 Grammy winners will be announced live.
