Almost all the removable storage media, be it CD / DVD or Floppy Disks or USB flash drives, will have Autorun.Inf file which is a configuration file that decides which actions to perform when a new removable storage drive is plugged in to the PC. Probably, the idea behind using this configuration file was to auto-run songs / movies /software installable when the drive is inserted into the PC. Unfortunately, spywares and malwares like Downadup / Conficker or WinFlashGuard take full advantage of this feature in order to install and spread themselves. This is achieved by copying a malicious executable onto the removable drives and infecting the autorun.inf file, instructing its own malicious file to run silently in the background.

WpVote is yet to catch up with other Wordpress fanatics like me, but once it does, it will be a major resource sharing / digging website. I have already tasted some real good traffic through this website where I had submitted couple of my recent Wordpress related articles. Facebook recently took over the Top spot from Myspace amongst the Social Networking websites. And the USP of Facebook has been the ease with which one can upload photos onto it.
