The 2nd edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2009 is scheduled to start on April 18th. After all the hype initially and controversies later on surrounding it, the cricketing extravaganza will finally begin on April 18th 2009. This time around, DLF IPL has created an official YouTube video channel at youtube.com/ipl where they would be posting all the match highlight videos, opening ceremony, award functions, etc. but IPL won’t be streaming live matches on YouTube though Google has the technology for that.

Now if you like to watch full IPL matches live on the web, the best option is willow.tv – they have the rights to distribute IPL matches on television, radio, broadband and Internet in all of North America.

There are other websites which provide Live Streaming of IPL matches for FREE, but it is better to go for the official website – IPLT20.com, which will be using the Microsoft Silverlight technology to provide interactive content along with live streaming of cricket matches everyday.

Update: iplt20.com was down for initial 2 days, but is now back up and running. Go to LiveVideo.IPLt20.com and watch the matches online for FREE! If you do not have Microsoft Silverlight, you will be asked to download the plugin, but it is surely worth the pain, enhances the streaming experience by a great deal!
