Google Image is a cool resource for finding images, but the way the results are presented is not really practical. Specifically, an image search returns a huge list of thumbnails, each of which requires a click-through (or two) to see the full-size image. This is where Google Image Ripper comes for your help.

What is Google Image Ripper?

google-image-ripper

First thing first – Google Image Ripper is not owned by Google. It is a web service that allows you to search for images using Google Image Search and see the full size images rather than previews. It basically bypasses the thumbnails, presenting you with all the matching images in a single Web page. You just need to type in your word or phrase to search, then choose a desired size (optional), a type (news, face, clipart, etc.), and whether the results should include “nsfw” (not safe for work) images. Click on “Rip Google” button and you will be presented with the search results neatly arranged in a single page. You will still be able to click on the images which takes you to the source page.

Important Note: This online tool works fine only if you have a high speed internet. In case you are a webmaster and do not want your images to be hotlinked by this service then just shoot a mail (blacklist[at]dearcomputer.nl) to the owner to get your website blacklisted.

  1. I have a similar tool but it is cleaner and allows the users to select how many images are shown on one page. Give it a go if you liked Google Image Ripper.
