First of all, I am very sorry for the delay in the announcement of winners. The thing is, initially I had some issues with the logistics of the contest (prizes delivery and other stuff) and then the validation of each and every entry took much more time than i expected. This is a quick announcement that Google PR update is going on currently and the good news is that TechPP is now PR3!! Technically this is the first PR update for the year 2009. The previous PR update happened on 31st December 2008. I was expecting this update to begin on 31st March 2009, but anyway it has come 2 days later. google-pagerank When I started out, PR metric was a big deal. Over the course of time it has become just another metric as a webmaster. Homepage is PR3, some internal pages have PR4, PR2 & PR1. It's been quite a while since I wrote about Subtitles and subtitle management software. Submagic is a FREE Windows software that can be used to edit subtitles. By editing I mean, create, edit, convert, translate and even synchronize the subtitles. All these features are accessible as tabbed panes. You can append or split the subtitles as well. Subtitles can be imported in various formats including the popular srt and sub.

Submagic comes with a very extensive error fixing feature that can fix more than 20 common problems and errors of subtitles including the correction of ocr errors, removal of line separators or the fixing of quotes. Several fixes contain multiple choices that the user can chose from. Just open a subtitle, then find and replace text and to insert, add, delete or split them. The final tab in the editing process is the synchronize tab which can be just to fine-tune the display of the lines in the movie.
