  5. Useful summary of wordpress gallery plugin. But I’m looking somethink like carousel gallery. Where admin of wordpress only fills the url of images and on main page appears slideshow gallery.

  7. Thanks for the writeup, Raju. One interesting note: picasna requires PHP 5, so those hosts that are stuck on PHP4 will get a really nasty error message if they try to use the plugin. Otherwise, the design looks pretty cool: it filters on a picasa web album link and replaces it with a widget. Nice design!

  9. Hi, I found another cool flash photo galleries plugin for WordPress. Named GRAND Flash Album Gallery – multi category flash skin based photo gallery with powerful admin. I used it in my blog. There are so many different settings. You can adjust the color scheme for your blog as you wish. There are many different skins. You can present your photo gallery in a wonderful way, there is a full-screen mode. This is a very cool plugin.

  12. Thanks for the info. Is there any plugin which will display the images one after the other, to account for maximum impressions/pageviews and not show the user all the thumbs upfront for him to choose what to click on.

    I am asking this because I need to used slideshows with text attached, in a manner where i weave a story from the first image to the last.

  15. PhotoSmash Galleries is a neat plugin, however it is no longer supported. It had many options that I needed, but the plugin is trying to do way to much. sad.

  17. I’m posting to let you know that we’ve just today released a new free sidebar plugin – the Kino Gallery. It’s worht posting here as it provides good gallery functionlity with a bit of a twist.

    It enables users to create a simple sidebar thumbnail gallery which then opens up a larger image into the main column. It’s stylish, easy to use, and simple to customise.
