Apple has apparently decided that with the new parental controls now built into the iPhone 3.0 SDK, nudity is now okay in iPhone apps. The first such app, Hottest Girls, has actually been around for a little while. But an update today ‘upgraded’ the pictures from girls in bikinis and lingerie, to topless and completely naked.

Hottest Girls’ developer Allen Leung quotes -

“We uploaded nude topless pics today. This is the first app to have nudity”

Now, I am sure this is just a first step and will see a huge surge in porn related applications on Apple App store. Porn is such a huge industry and no wonder Apple spent time and energy in building the parental controls, thereby opening itself to accommodate the most in-demand industry within the iPhone apps fold.

But how far it goes in letting such apps is a big question anyway. Its not just the porn related apps, even the hardcore NC-17+ games will spring up and more such related stuff will soon be seen on the app store.
