Torchwood is a British science fiction television programme and a spin-off from the popular sci-fi show Doctor Who, follows a group of investigators working for the secret organization of the same name. The team specialize in alien technology that has landed on Earth, and crime, whether it be alien or human. The mysterious Captain Jack Harkness is the leader of the equally mysterious Torchwood, and vows to guard humanity against alien threats.

The first two episodes of Series 1 of Torchwood premiered on 22 October 2006 on BBC Three and BBC HD. Series 2 premiered on BBC Two and BBC HD on 16 January 2008. The third series, a five part mini-series entitled Torchwood: Children of Earth, aired on BBC One and BBC HD between 6 July and 10 July 2009.

<3 Thank you very much. I was very, very excited when I heard the new mini-series for Torchwood was coming out, seeing as how last year there was talk of the show not even returning. I don’t have cable anymore and was looking everywhere for the videos for Children of Earth. The TVshack one worked best for me.
