Cougar Town is a sitcom scheduled to premiere on ABC on September 23, 2009. The series is set to air Wednesday nights at 9:30 following fellow comedy Modern Family in the fall television season of 2009. Created by Bill Lawrence, the series stars Courteney Cox as a newly single 40-year-old mother with a 17-year old son.
A recently divorced single mother finds herself facing the harsh realities of dating and aging in the current youth- and beauty-obsessed culture. Having spent her twenties tackling the responsibilities of marriage and motherhood, she faces her forties with a journey of self-discovery, surrounded by friends, family and an ex-husband who have their own advice to offer.
Courtney Cox, Christa Miller, Bust Philipps star in this sitcom. The Pilot episode (Episode 1) will air on September 22nd.
