How does the tool find out where the crash dump is located ? And does it need the full kernel/memory dump option enabled or does it work with the partial dump also (This is the default on windows)

Hi,
I am getting the HP laptop with Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit installed but I am not getting the Win 7 installation CD.

What should I do to be prepared in case if something goes wrong, my operating system crashes for whatever reason and I cannot use the PC at all?

I had the original Windows 2000 CD for my old PC so I could always boot from it and re-install the OS from scratch.
Thanks,
Matt
