Kindle for PC was released a few days back and many of you might have already installed it on your Windows PC. Now, if you are wondering what to do next, here is a simple guide on how to download, install and start reading eBooks on Kindle for PC. Ofcourse, you can pay for the books and download them directly via Kindle for PC, but we love freebies, don’t we?

As mentioned in the previous post, in case you don’t have an account with Amazon, you would need to register for a new account, where you will be asked to share your eMail ID and credit card details. You don’t need to pay or use the credit card, but it is required.

Once you register, you will see “Shop in Kindle Store” button on top right corner.

Click on that button which will take you to the Kindle eBook store on Amazon. From here you can buy or download free books. The ones on the home page are their best sellers and obviously they cost money! So how to find the free ebooks? Look for the search bar on top.

Click on Go. This will return all the available Kindle eBooks. Then sort the results by price : Low to High

You will see hundreds of Free eBooks listed down. Choose the ones you like the most and click on Buy now with 1-click button.

It will deliver to your PC version of the Kindle by default. If you have other devices select the appropriate one. Then you will see a thank you screen. Next go back to your Kindle screen and hit the sync and check for new items (F5) button. You are all set to read your favorite eBooks on Kindle for Free!
