Downloading, installing, registering all went smoothly ... but once the program started its initial scan, it wreaked havoc on several of my time-tested apps, either quarantining them as malware or just refusing to let them run at all. These are programs I've used regularly for at least several months and which have been cleared by every other antivirus/antimalware product I have ... it was particularly hard on copy utilities such as TeraCopy (which was quarantined immediately) and Microsoft's RichCopy which was prevented from starting even though it was not in the quarantine list. I had to use System Restore to reverse everything and now my other apps work well again .. of course Returnil no longer works, but I guess it just wasn't meant to be. I may try it on another computer later, but I'm not in any hurry to put it back on my main desktop machine again.
