We have had lot of unique, rare and quality software reviewed and given away over the last few days as part of TechPP Mega Christmas Giveaway. They include WinAutomation, Axialis IconWorkshop, Crossover for Mac/Linux, SWF to Video converter, RVS 2010 Home Lux, Speedbit Video Accelarator amongst others.
We would like to continue this trend for today’s giveaway as well and hence we have Antamedia Print Manager on board! Antamedia Print Manager is a print management software for internal enforcement of printing rules and policies, run by a central control panel and optionally offering a paid printing service.
According to Antamedia, any medium to large company can easily save 35% of their printing costs with Antamedia Print Manager, with some smaller companies reaching savings up to 64%. After Print Manager is installed, you can change the rules. Not by sending a memo or by posting notices that get ignored but with a simple push-button software control panel on a single PC.
You choose how many pages are allowed, if color is allowed, what times printing is available and so on. You can control this by user group, by individual, by location, even down to a specific printer. Setting the rules is the only configuration required. When you’re ready, decide on the rules, set them and you’re done.
Key Features of Antamedia Print Manager
- Extra profitability via saving costs
- Option to directly profit by billing for printing
- Highly flexible, e.g. control by user, user group or printer
- In-depth pricing plans with auto-top-up or pay as you go
- Restrict or charge per page, if color etc
- Blocks documents by keyword e.g. “confidential”
- Easy to understand tabbed interface
- Logging and statistics
- Entirely software driven – no hardware or upgrades required
- Self-contained – no database licensing or other software needed
- Safe to install, without affecting the rest of your network
- Works with Microsoft XP/Vista/Server
Print Manager automatically seeks out all connected computers and printers, without requiring any hardware upgrades. Not one cable extra. It just works, with none of those frustrating “not recognized” errors or technical nightmares that may have held you back before.
Antamedia is known for some quality products like Hotspot, Bandwidth Manager, Internet Cafe Manager etc and they have a wonderful support system which works 7 days a week with telephone, email, instant chat, plus a free online forum for registered clients.
Antamedia Print Manager comes in 4 versions – Lite, Standard, Premium and Corporate costing $99, $249, $399 and $599. You can check out the feature differences amongst the four here and choose the right one for your needs. There is also a Zero risk free trial available with some limitations.
Antamedia Print Manager Lite – Free Licenses Giveaway
Frankly speaking, I thought a lot of times about having this giveaway, since it is not something required for daily use and hence not exactly something a home user would need. But then, this is a professional and highly useful tool for those readers of TechPP who own a small firm or an Internet cafe and as one of the leading technology blogs, it is very important to promote a quality software and at the same time let the users know about such an utility available in the market.
We have 25 free licenses of Antamedia Print manager Lite, each license costing $99. So that is almost $2500 worth of licenses!! Since this is a rare and highly professional software, the giveaway would run for a week (instead of usual 24 hours). Leave a comment below mentioning why you would need a license.
This giveaway closes 12pm CET, 23rd December.
Martin is giving away Paragon Drive Backup 2010 SE for all. Make sure you grab a license as well.

Hi,
I would really appreciate this software because
a) I can easily check the job history to check the files printed and details on the same.
b) I can easily ascertain types of print jobs (color or b/w) and assign charges to them.
c) I can manually control the jobs and reassign/delete jobs are required.
d) I can set rules which can give me more control over print jobs.
e) I can create groups and assign roles / limitations on the usage.
f) I can schedule usage for different time periods.
This software is fantastic, and I will be happy if I win one license.

I use iPrint from Inzone Software for this kind of Print Manager. I’ve toke a look the feature of this print manager at antamediaprint’s site and check this feature detail. Sound interesting. $99 for lite edition make me a little bit nervous. The price is more expensive than my current print manager.
I guess a license for this Antamedia Print Manager will be lovely.
Thanks.

Last year we started a software training institute, which is rapidly growing. But as we are a startup firm we are lacking the funds and need some freewares (usable like this one) in order to expand our business without incurring additional costs. We have started taking web development assignments as well.
And yes it really helps to the startups to have such freebies. Why?
1. They get a professional software freely.
2. Startup would get the it with support, which other freewares deny.
What will be the benefit of the software company?
1. Startup would get the genuine response and error reports.
2. Bug reporting is always genuinely done
3. Startups would be happy to take the “Usability Survey”
So count on us and in return we will be responsive.
*Feedback is the key to improvement.*
Thanks,
Sandeep,
iKnowledge.

I like to have this application which is very useful for multiple deskstations sharing multiple printers and multiple jobs queued at preset schedules.
Excellent, I should say, and highly efficient, costwise and productive. It’s definitely worth more than $99!
Thanks a lot.

The software is really big help for my home network because:
1: Low cost because no additional hardware setup and drivers required.
2. Easily track the document version printed because of printer manager. another time saving funtion.
3. Can monitor your consumption of ink per print. A very great funtion for your budget and charge per page print.
And one thing that I really like is the managing the document or the database in one network like my home and my office.
A really really worth of software to own.
Thank you…

Hi,
Currently I’m running an internet cafe so its very essential for me to calculate my printing usage, cost and etc since its one of the main core of my business. The current application that was use (I can’t write it here) offer a very limited function for printing management due to the fact that it was cybercafe software and mainly for controlling PC.
Antamedia Print Manager seems to be a perfect candidate for replacing the current application that was used (for printer management). Hope I’m one of the lucky winners. Thanks in adavnce

I am not in IT, but I tend to be the goto person for troubleshooting printing. This tool is great for review and identifying printing problems and trends. Its a great productivity tool that would allow me to work on my primary projects instead of review multiple computer event logs.
Cheers.

After we installed Print Management Software and made correct control panel settings, we started to use the printer without any tension. No need to install printers with each computer. You just need one printer which would be attached with one computer system through which all users can take out their printer papers. This software solution works well with our Canon printer.
