Google’s self-branded netbook will have a NVIDIA Tegra (probably 2nd gen) chipset and will come pre-installed Google apps, such as Maps, Gmail, Docs, Calendar, Search, and Voice.

Google OS Netbook Price

As per the rumored sources, Google OS netbook is expected to be priced around $300 which is pretty cheap compared to the netbooks market standards.

As per IBTimes, release date is sometime in 2010

Tech bloggers also claim that the Google netbook would launch no earlier than 2010 holiday season as it gives the company enough time to build a prototype and test it.

We should get more clarity about this leak/rumor in coming days. The buzz is that, Acer is very interested to be the first vendor to bring out Google OS, but Google might consider to go all alone just like it has done for Google Phone – Nexus One
