iPhone 4.0 and Apple Tablet Coming on January 27

Hell yeah! The news is almost confirmed! Apple would be releasing its much awaited tablet (Apple iSlate?) this January 27th and most probably an announcement regarding iPhone OS 4.0 firmware might also be made available. Cut the rumors short, the confirmed news is that a special Apple event in San Francisco has been scheduled for January 27th and Apple has released a colorful press release which says - "Come see our latest creation"

As per the tradition, the event invite doesn't mention about what that creation actually is, but according to Clayton Morris of Fox News, it is definitely about the Apple Tablet!
I spoke to a source at Apple this morning, before the invite hit my inbox, who said the event would likely focus on three projects: The tablet device, iPhone 4, and a new round of iLife 2010 software. While we won’t see new iPhone hardware just yet, we will see the next-generation software.

Windows 7 SP 1 Leaked Screenshots

A new Spanish Microsoft related blog has posted some exclusive leaked screenshots of Windows 7 Service Pack 1 Demo installer, which gives enough proof about the service pack coming to a completion in near future. I was hoping the news of Windows 7 SP1 is just a rumor, but then the screenshots below almost confirms the existence of such a thing in reality. The blog revealed that
“Microsoft will send in the coming weeks a demo preview of Service Pack 1 for Windows 7 which is expected in late 2010 and July to selected testers (possibly both Tester and SP1 for the final version of Office 2010 dates coming very similar, although it now appears that Office 2010 will be advanced a few weeks!,”
The blog also says that the total number of updates in the current build of Service Pack 1 is around 150, these updates bring the Windows 7 compilation build number between: 7600.20500 and 20,700. The blog has done well in watermarking its images to make sure they get the deserved credits for the leak and I am sure you will somehow manage to see the content of the images amidst the repeating watermarks!

Create Recycle Bin for Your USB/Flash Drive

There have been umpteen instances where I have had used my USB drive (or flash drive) at my friend's PC. And most of the times, I end up clearing the contents of the drive due to lot of reasons. So what happens to the deleted content?
  • It will be deleted permanently, or
  • It will go to recycle bin of that PC
Restoring the content in the first case is not an easy, straight-forward task, but in the second case, you can simply open the Recycle Bin and restore the deleted file, but then it works only when the owner of that PC has not emptied his recycle bin! So, is there any better solution? Luckily, yes! The solution is to create a custom, built-in recycle bin within the flash drive!

We know about the rumors that Windows 7 SP1 is expected to arrive during mid-2010 and expected to be a collection of patches and updates rolled out till then.
