A couple of months back, we had seen an extension which would let you to watch TV directly on Firefox. Now, the same developer has come out with an extension which lets you watch TV on your Chrome browser! TV Chrome is a Google Chrome plugin that lets you watch TV on Chrome browser. More than 2780 Live TV Channels are sorted by country & category (most of them are made available free by the channels).

tvchrome

TV-Chrome is powered by the biggest and most up-to-date database (Google – Wikipedia – YouTube – Torrent – eBay & Amazon Search engines included). Unlike TV-Fox, TV-Chrome doesn't install the toolbar, but a simple icon next to the address bar, that enables you to search & select TV Channels of your choice. This is completely free and hence comes with a caveat that any channel may or may not work at a given point of time. With so much options, you are sure to find one channel which works and which you like! Download TV-Chrome Note: There is an alternative to TV-Chrome, aptly named as Chrome TV [via]
If you are one of those who find the ads irritating and intruding when reading mails on Yahoo, here is a good news for you. Yahoo Mail has announced that a new feature that allows hiding ads on Yahoo mail temporarily, there by providing more real-estate to read your mails.

This feature is specially helpful if you are using lower screen resolution on your desktop/laptop/netbook. Those who extensively use desktop email clients like Microsoft Outlook would appreciate this move from Yahoo mail as they can get the ad-free experience on the web version as well. Most of the frequent users would already be prone to ad-blindness and this might not cheer them so much. Personally, I noticed the banner on the right only after reading the blog post from Yahoo mail folks. This is still a welcome move and we must appreciate Yahoo for providing an option to hide ads especially since ads are what that allow them to provide Yahoo Mail as we free service. As mentioned earlier, this feature doesn't remove ads permanently. If you would like to permanently disable ads you can sign up for Mail Plus which offers an ad-free...

Hulu has proved itself to be one of the most sought out destinations for free TV shows online in US. Free episodes of popular TV shows like Glee, Lost, The Office etc are all available on Hulu in very high quality. But access to Hulu is limited to viewers from the United States and even those can only view the tv shows online and not offline. To make matters worse Hulu is using encryption to protect the tv streams so that standard downloaders like Orbit Downloader and TubeMaster++ do not function at all. Tools like Hulu Video Downloader which used to do a robust job have disappeared now (for obvious reasons).

Luckily, StreamTransport provides the same functionality, i.e downloading Hulu videos and TV shows for offline viewing and that too in high quality! Not just encrypted media sites like Hulu, StreamTransport can download media from video sharing sites like Youtube and Veoh. It can browse and download media from sites using HTTP, RTMP, RTMPT, RTMPE, and RTMPTE protocols, which covers most video and media sharing sites. The downloaded files are FLV formatted, which can be played using VLC Media Player or...
Ever since Apple released iPhone 3.1.3, there has been a lot of confusion amongst the newbies on whether their iPhone and/or iPod Touch is jailbreakable or not. Few days back I had written a post putting down various scenarios and explaining what happens if you have accidentally upgraded to iPhone 3.1.3. Well, now there is an easier way to know that. ToolJail is designed to help iPhone newbies jailbreak and unlock their iPhone and iPod touch. It contains all the necessary jailbreak and unlock instructions, along with how-to’s on DFU and Recovery Mode, downgrading firmware, and direct download links for all the necessary tools required.

The best part of this tool is that it even provides an how-to guide in case you do not understand something and want to know in detail.

facebook-profile-check-scam

Off late I am being bombarded with loads of notifications on my Facebook profile and most of them are about me being tagged in a photo and a comment following that. And as you see in the screenshot above, they are about my friends checking 'Who is glancing through my profile?' or 'Who has seen my profile?' Yes, Facebook provides me an option to Hide and free myself from all such alerts. But the issue is that I see that there are many such apps (with different names) but doing the same thing. The app lures the users by promising to reveal which of their friends are checking out their Facebook profiles recently. You must know by now that Facebook clearly states that such a thing is very much against their privacy policy. But somehow these apps are making their way into the Facebook app directory and (un)surprisingly find enough stupid innocent people to install them and get fooled. The names of some of these apps have SPAM written all over them. http://apps.facebook.com/azklaukfwucevsz/ is the name of one such app! It seems, there are some Facebook pages as well...
"Like it or hate it, you just can't ignore it". I am talking about Apple's latest revolutionary gadgets which will supposedly change the way you access the internet - the Apple iPad which is available for pre-order starting March 12th, while the shipping starts on April 3 2010. But all these only for US customers.

apple-ipad-pre-order

Apple has no plans to release iPad in countries like India, China, Brazil etc till late 2010 (while UK, Spain, Switzerland etc will be getting in the end of April). So, what if you are not in US, but still want to get your hands on the wonder gadget first? Of-course the iPad wi-fi version comes unlocked, which means you can effectively use it anywhere in the world, and here is how you can buy Apple iPad outside US. As per Amit, the best option to get started is first ordering the iPad using a US Credit Card & a US Shipping Address, following which you can ship the product from US to your home country easily using different services. us-unlocked The Apple store accepts only US credit cards and hence the best thing to do...
