The world’s most popular (arguably) has got even better. GMail will now have a preview pane, just like the one you get in Microsoft Outlook and Thunderbird! A very helpful and productive feature makes its way (finally) into GMail, but through the Google Labs.

The “Sneak peek” feature as its called, is not so user friendly yet. You would need to right click on the message in order to preview that message/mail. The preview pane will display part of the message, as well as buttons for scrolling through the thread, if there is one and a couple for archiving and deleting.

In addition to Sneak Peek, Gmail has introduced Nested Labels, again through the Google labs, which are equivalent to the sub-folders! A much needed feature which lets you organize your labels hierarchically.

As always, you need to go to the Google labs page, look for “Sneak Peek” and “Nested Labels” and enable them to give them a try.
