A real pleasant surprise for all Nexus One owners! The much awaited Android 2.2 Froyo update is currently being rolled out much earlier than expected specially for the “Google Phones”. TechCrunch reports that the OS update is happening only for Nexus One and not for any other Android phone as of now.
The update is available now via OTA (Over-the-Air) download and will take some time before the roll out completes. Look out for the notification tray for a “System Alert” for Android 2.2 which could be here for you any time now. Even though Google has shown its love over Nexus One, other phones should get the latest OS update sooner than later.
