Guide to Jailbreak iPod Touch 3G OS 3.1.3 with Spirit Untethered

As you already know, the Spirit Jailbreaking tool was released some time back and as promised here is a detailed guide to jailbreak iPod Touch 3G on OS 3.1.3 using Spirit untethered tool. Spirit works on both Windows and Mac OS X and can jailbreak all the newer iDevices like iPhone touch 3G and 2G (MC model), iPhone 3GS and the newly released iPad as long as they are officially activated via iTunes. Using an untethered jailbreaking tool like Spirit, you do not need to re-jailbreak your iPod Touch every time you restart it (which is so annoying).

Make sure you backup your SHSH files before jailbreaking your iPod Touch 2G/3G using Spirit. Of course you can still jailbreak your device without backing up the SHSH files, but in case Apple patches this exploit, there will be no way you downgrade to 3.1.2 later on. As we just reported, Spirit untethered jailbreaking tool was released some time back and as promised here is a detailed guide to jailbreak iPhone 2G, 3G, 3GS on OS 3.1.3 using Spirit untethered tool. Using Spirit, you can jailbreak (not unlock) all iPhone’s (iPhone (Edge), iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS) and iPod touches (iPod touch 2G and 3G) running on the firmware version 3.1.3/3.1.2, and iPad and iPad 3G on firmware 3.2 – untethered, i.e in just one click! We have been warning and want to repeat that if you are using iPhone 3G or iPhone 3GS and rely on carrier unlock, please DO NOT upgrade to the stock iPhone OS 3.1.3, doing so will result in upgrade of your baseband, which will make it almost impossible for you to unlock. The Spirit untethered jailbreaking tool for iPhone OS 3.1.3, iPad 3.2 and iPod Touch 3G has been released just now. It was supposed to be released last week, but due to some reasons, it was delayed for a few days. With a single click, Spirit will jailbreak any iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch running firmware 3.1.x or 3.2. Spirit userland jailbreak is first of its kind tool since iPhone OS 1.x. This type of jailbreak is effective and easy to use, however Apple can easily patch whatever security vulnerability is used by Spirit. It is very important to note that Spirit does not include an unlock to allow the iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch to be used on a different wireless carrier than AT&T. Internet Censorship is turning out to be one of the major problems in some parts of the world, mainly China, Iran & Australia. They use some filters to block specific information on the web from their citizens. Not just countries, internet censorship is common in schools, colleges and work places. At TechPP, we have previously written many articles to help people bypass internet censorship and access blocked websites. Some of them are - As always, I would like to tell you guys, there is no sure way to bypass internet censorship, as the tricks/tweaks we suggest are only as good as the intelligence and knowledge of the network administrator. The latest tip is suggested by Martin which involves usage of the HTTPS Google Webcache extension for Google Chrome, which currently breaks most filtering systems by linking directly to the https version of Google Cache results.
