USB to Ethernet Connector lets you connect to any USB device located on a remote PC on a local network or the Internet. You will be able to work with it as with a local USB device and applications working with it won’t even see the difference. USB to Ethernet Connector works with a USB driver at the system level. It intercepts USB port activity for the shared device and redirects it via TCP/IP to a remote site, where it is handled appropriately.

usb-over-ethernet

It helps you share a USB device over network among multiple computers so people from all over the world (or your office) can use it. USB to Ethernet Connector lets you access your printer, scanner, web-cam, USB dongle or any other supported USB device from your home PC, office laptop or anywhere any time! Just plug the device in and it will automatically appear on the remote side of the connection.

To achieve such functionality, USB to Ethernet Connector is installed on both computers that take part in the communication process. Therefore, USB to Ethernet uses client-server architecture – server side has the USB device physically attached to it, while client side connects to remote server and uses the services it provides, but each side can be a client and a server at the same time. USB to Ethernet Connector shares USB ports rather than devices.

The benefit of this approach is that you may plug in a USB device, connect to it from the remote host, detach the device and plug in another one, and it will automatically appear at the client side. Among its key-features are an unlimited number of USB devices that can be shared, auto-connecting to new USB devices whenever you plug them in and working with virtual machines.

The software is compatible with Windows XP/2000/Vista and Win 7.

    Hello Rajuji,
Congrats on holding the giveaway for such an innovative solution.Do count me in.Now,while scanning the features list, what impressed me most is that this tool allows the shared usb device to be accessed wirelessly over wifi.So in a sense,it can thought of as an alternative to wireless usb. When used in a wifi enabled network, the shared device automatically becomes wireless usb ready and the need for Device Wire Adapter and Host Wire Adapter is eliminated.
P.S. I am connected with you on facebook and shared this giveaway at: http://www.facebook.com/d4dhiraj?v=wall&story_fbid=125881824114110&ref=mf

  • Rose Carter

    Impressive!!
That was the first thing that came to my mind upon scanning the features list published on the developer’s page.Being intrigued,I downloaded the trial version and gave it a run on my laptop.Having tried it out for the past few days,I can definitely say that it’s a versatile tool. It’s ability to encrypt the data before routing over the internet really proved to be useful for me.I frequently carry to and from my office a pen drive containing confidential data and was worried I might loose it someday during the transit. Now thanks to this gem,my worries have waned.I keep the pen drive plugged to my home pc and access it at my office desk over internet assured that the traffic shuttling between the home and office pc is encrypted. So a license coming my way would be highly appreciated.Hence count me in the raffle please.
P.S. Since I don’t have a presence on facebook or twitter,I would be unable to share this giveaway on either of the two.Sorry to disappoint you. However,I have subscribed to the email feeds.

HI all, I have to say, this is the right help for hyper v core server. It is perfect solution for us as well. We are using usb ports not only for flashdisks but for other purposes.
    Thanks for that idea.
I had a problem with previous version, but new one works fine on hyper v core 2008 r2
