USB to Ethernet Connector lets you connect to any USB device located on a remote PC on a local network or the Internet. You will be able to work with it as with a local USB device and applications working with it won’t even see the difference. USB to Ethernet Connector works with a USB driver at the system level. It intercepts USB port activity for the shared device and redirects it via TCP/IP to a remote site, where it is handled appropriately.

It helps you share a USB device over network among multiple computers so people from all over the world (or your office) can use it. USB to Ethernet Connector lets you access your printer, scanner, web-cam, USB dongle or any other supported USB device from your home PC, office laptop or anywhere any time! Just plug the device in and it will automatically appear on the remote side of the connection.

To achieve such functionality, USB to Ethernet Connector is installed on both computers that take part in the communication process. Therefore, USB to Ethernet uses client-server architecture – server side has the USB device physically attached to it, while client side connects to remote server and uses the services it provides, but each side can be a client and a server at the same time. USB to Ethernet Connector shares USB ports rather than devices.

The benefit of this approach is that you may plug in a USB device, connect to it from the remote host, detach the device and plug in another one, and it will automatically appear at the client side. Among its key-features are an unlimited number of USB devices that can be shared, auto-connecting to new USB devices whenever you plug them in and working with virtual machines.

The software is compatible with Windows XP/2000/Vista and Win 7.

  13. Like others I never knew of the existence of this software but it would certainly be beneficial for as at the present time I am confined to lying flat on my back in bed courtesy of pressure on the sciatic nerve and I can only use my laptop. With the laptop I am limited in what devices I can contact on my network of servers and desktops with their attached devices so it would be especially beneficial to me to be a recipient of one of these offered licenses.

    Regards Leigh D Stebbins

  14. i think this software not so important cause if you want to share a file is better share using share hosting web such as rapidshare or file sharing that came with windows but if u can’t access internet this sofware may be nice

  15. thank you all. one of those smooth devices of which you never knew just how much you missed it. then again, the price-tag keeps its application strictly in the pro-field. bummer. Eltima, as there is much more out there – keep it up, your innovative spirit.

  25. This looks like a great utility/app for anyone
using VMware ESX/ESXi, as you don’t have access
to the USB ports like you do in vmware workstation/player.

I’d love to see how this works on my ESXi install at home.
I have a few USB devices (security reader/tuner/camera),
that I’d like to see how it operates.

Various other ways to achieve USB connectivity to this
and other sharing, was very kludgey, and didn’t run
USB2.0 speeds, and at times, very, very, very slow.

I’m pulling down the trial for this and a few other of
    the utils from their site.

If it works well, I’d push to have our enterprise purchase
this product, as we have a large ESX4/vsphere/SAN install
that would allow access to other devices that are not
accessible from the cluster since they are not networked.

Looking at the site, the serial mux looks pretty interesting as well,
which would come in handy for console access to various servers
and networking equipment, (including devices in DMZ).

Already a FB member, and retweeted.

Thanks for the find and chance for full lic.

  26. Hi!

I’m very happy if i can get it!

    Thanks for the giveaway

  28. Hi Raju, thank you very much for this giveaway.
I am very much confident about this software as it will be really very very useful software. I really would like to make it in use and will definitely try to look more way to use this software effectively.

    Here’s my retweet:

    Thanks in advance

  29. Hello Rajuji,
Congrats on holding the giveaway for such an innovative solution.Do count me in.Now,while scanning the features list, what impressed me most is that this tool allows the shared usb device to be accessed wirelessly over wifi.So in a sense,it can thought of as an alternative to wireless usb. When used in a wifi enabled network, the shared device automatically becomes wireless usb ready and the need for Device Wire Adapter and Host Wire Adapter is eliminated.
P.S. I am connected with you on facebook and shared this giveaway at:

  30. Impressive!!
That was the first thing that came to my mind upon scanning the features list published on the developer’s page.Being intrigued,I downloaded the trial version and gave it a run on my laptop.Having tried it out for the past few days,I can definitely say that it’s a versatile tool. It’s ability to encrypt the data before routing over the internet really proved to be useful for me.I frequently carry to and from my office a pen drive containing confidential data and was worried I might loose it someday during the transit. Now thanks to this gem,my worries have waned.I keep the pen drive plugged to my home pc and access it at my office desk over internet assured that the traffic shuttling between the home and office pc is encrypted. So a license coming my way would be highly appreciated.Hence count me in the raffle please.
P.S. Since I don’t have a presence on facebook or twitter,I would be unable to share this giveaway on either of the two.Sorry to disappoint you. However,I have subscribed to the email feeds.

  31. Hi, Many thanks for this giveaway.

i’m wondering why my previous my comment was deleted.

    I have tweeted it here:

I would like to win this as it will help access my ext hdd connected via usb to my personal PC, remotely using ethernet. In this way i would be able to access my data from anywhere/anytime.

    Thanks, Grr
    (Please accept my participation)

    Thanks for that idea.
I had a problem with previous version, but new one works fine on hyper v core 2008 r2
