The no. 2 seed and 5 time 2010 French Open Champion Tennis player of Men’s category Rafael Nadal of Spain will Face no. 12 Tomas Berdych of Czech Republic in the Men’s singles final of Wimbledon 2010 championships.
Berdych has already beaten top-seeded Roger Federer and No. 3 Novak Djokovic in his past two matches pretty convincingly. Berdych, in his first Grand Slam final, is the first Czech man to reach the championship match at the All England Club since Ivan Lendl in 1980, while no Czech player has won this tournament since Jan Kodes in 1973. Until this year, Berdych, 24, had never even made it past the quarters of a Grand Slam event, but he made the semis at the French Open. Of all the people Berdych could have run into in the final, Nadal is the worst because he acts as the antithesis to the quintessential Berdych game plan. Nadal does look fairly unbeatable right now, as he is just the fifth player to reach four consecutive Wimbledon finals in a row.
Will Nadal can easily win his 2nd Wimbledon title or can Berdych grab his first Wimbledon Title. Who do you think will win? Who’s your bet? Game time is scheduled to start today 14:00CEST/8:00AM ET at Wimbledon Center Court.
