Ever since we started off with iPhone Jailbreaking tutorials, we keep getting queries related to the iPhone recovery mode. Getting your iPhone into recovery mode is pretty simple – just shut down your iPhone, hold down the home button, and then plug the device into iTunes.
Doing so you will be prompted saying that you must restore the device back to the factory defaults. This where most of the first-timers panic, thinking restoring is all they can do. Don’t despair! RecBoot comes to your rescue!
RecBoot is a free tool for Windows, Linux and Mac, using which the users can easily take an iPhone out of recovery mode. As you can see in the above screenshot, RecBoot provides an option for the users to either Enter Recovery mode or exit Recovery mode.
In Windows, you will be required to copy a DLL file into the directory from which you are running the tool from. If you are a Mac user you will see two different applications: RecBoot and RecBoot Exit Only. Unlike Windows, Mac users need not copy any DLL file. So now you know where to go if your iPhone is stuck in recovery mode!
