Today, July 11, will see the end of the FIFA World Cup 2010 in South Africa. First we’ll see the closing ceremony at the Soccer City Stadium in Johannesburg and then of course, the Final match of Netherlands vs Spain, when one of these two countries will win the World Cup for the very first time.

According to FIFA, the Closing Ceremony of the 2010 FIFA World Cup is set to be a colourful, celebratory tribute to the tournament, the fans and their experiences in the host country during what’s been a memorable month.

The closing ceremony will last for 30 minutes and begin at 18:30 pm local time (click here for your local time). Amazingly there will be 780 performers and the ceremony will be televised in 215 countries to a viewing audience of over 500 million. What more, Shakira will be performing her hit single “Waka Waka” the Official Song of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, along with Freshlyground of South Africa.
