Apple has just announced that the iPad will be made available in 9 more countries this Friday (23rd July 2010) which includes Austria, Belgium, Hong Kong, Ireland, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand and Singapore. Customers in these countries will be able to buy the device through Apple’s retail stores and authorized resellers.

Apple iPad has already some extra-ordinary numbers to show off with more than 3 million units being sold in 80 days till now. Introduction in 9 more countries should fuel the growth even more. Apple reported that there are more than 2 million iPad apps available in app store as of now.

When iPad was announced earlier this year, Apple had told that they plan to ship iPads to places outside US during late May, but they had to defer that due to extremely high demand for the device. Apple says the iPad will roll out to additional countries later this year and will announce availability and local pricing for these additional countries at a later date.

It will be very interesting to note what the pricing of iPad will be in places like Hong Kong and Singapore. We will let you know once we have the information.
