Priority Inbox is like your personal assistant, helping you focus on the messages that matter without requiring you to set up complex rules. The axe hanging on top of RIM of a possible Blackberry ban in India has been averted as the Indian government has given RIM 60 days after being promised "lawful access" to the encrypted data. The ongoing fiasco is because India says it wants the means to fully track and read BlackBerry's secure email and instant messaging services that officials fear could be misused by militants. RIM had till now maintained that they cannot provide the complete access to the encrypted data as requested by the Indian government which had prompted many of the Indian companies to look for alternatives for BlackBerry's secured data communications. There are over 900 corporate houses and companies and about a million subscribers who use BlackBerry services in India. Though it is not completely clear as to what agreement has been reached by both the parties, the Indian government said at the end of a meeting of Indian security agencies that the telecom ministry will also study the feasibility of running services through a server located in the country. India, being one of the fastest growing wireless markets in the world, could not afford to ban BlackBerry as it could have...

The top Indian telecom and security officials are currently meeting in New Delhi to discuss the Blackberry security issue which could essentially mean the end of Blackberry services in India if at all the standoff comes to a deadlock as predicted by many. The Indian government had warned earlier this month that it would start blocking emails and instant messages sent on BlackBerry smartphones unless the company came up with a way for security agencies to decode the encrypted traffic by August 31. Now that the BlackBerry Ban seems imminent, several Indian companies have started mulling alternate options to BlackBerry services, which would mean a huge gain in share to RIM rivals like Nokia and Apple. According to Reuters, companies like GE India & Infosys have already started discussing options to switch to other services. India, which has 1.1 million BlackBerry users, would be the first country to curb its services. But RIM is also facing a threatened ban by the United Arab Emirates and is negotiating with Saudi Arabia on security...
This is as bizarre as it can get! China Unicom, which happens to be the only official and authorized carrier for iPhones and iPads in China, which is the world’s largest cellphone market is going to provide full service to its customers, which includes jailbreaking, converting SIM Card to Micro-SIM, installation of 10 of the most popular apps from Cydia, and a free case on every new purchase of iPhone 4 and iPad 3G.

Support Service: Free SIM-trimming, jailbreak, installation of more than 10 hot apps
Everyone knows that China follows its own rules and they don't care (and don't need to care) much about what Apple thinks and feels. But the question is since all the new iPhones and iPads are now shipping with the latest firmware i.e. iOS 4.0.2 and iOS 3.2.2, how will China Unicom offer jailbreaking service for their customers since JailbreakMe doesn't yet support these iOS versions.
