In a rather embarrassing slip out, Todd Bradley, the head of HP’s Personal Systems Group, has revealed (or rather confirmed) the name of their upcoming webOS tablet – PalmPad. While talking at an analyst call on Wednesday, Bradley casually mentioned that HP will have “a webOS-powered PalmPad that will be set for release early in 2011.”

It was almost clear that HP’s webOS tablet is named PalmPad, ever since HP filed for a trademark on that name back in July. This slip out just confirms the same, in addition to the possible arrival of the tablet, which will be early 2011.

With Android’s Galaxy Tab & RIM’s PlayBook, I expect HP’s PalmPad to realistically challenge Apple iPad’s dominance in the tablet market.
