If you are like me, who is a gadget freak with multiple portable devices lying around the room at home or office, you are bound to have cables and chargers floating around everywhere. For someone like me, who works from home and who isn't organized by nature, it becomes even tougher. Moreover, my wife is a cable nazi of sorts, who is always trying to find ways to reduce the number of cables. Luckily Powermat Wireless charging system came to my rescue. You must have guessed by its name on what it does. A mat to wirelessly charge devices? Well, you are partially right. It is a mat which reduces the wires required for charging devices, but doesn't completely eliminates the cables; ironic, but true. From their website:

Guest post by Andrew Paul. If you are a Wordpress.com user, I am sure, you must have always been enjoying blogging on the hosted blogging service. But what if you get the opportunity to interact or share your blogs through an SMS? Suppose you get SMS alerts about various little changes, for which earlier you had to visit the site. Easily know about anyone quitting or joining a blog, anyone changing the theme, or little changes in privacy settings and much more would make blogging more interesting than it is now. Now, stop supposing and start believing! The very popular hosted blogging service Wordpress.com has come up with the launch of a new additional feature which will make all this happen in reality.

With this new feature, you can have the best of both: Text and Blog. But the problem here is that this new service is only available for US users at the time being. When asked the company about this, they came up with a genuine reason. According to them, they wanted to test whether this new innovative feature will bring an overwhelming response from the native users. And...
Samsung Galaxy Tab hits Verizon Wireless on November 11th and is (over)priced at $599. The 7 inch Android tablet arrives 2 weeks after Apple's iPad debut on Verizon for a $630 price.

Just like the iPad, Samsung Galaxy tab will be sold without contract and for a similar data plan - which starts at $20 per month, and comes with 1 GB of data. The Android tablet is expected to be sold on all four major US carriers - AT&T, T-mobile, Sprint & Verizon Wireless. Other 3 carriers are yet to announce their pricing and data plans for Galaxy tab. Many were expecting the tablet to be priced sub-$200 with contract, but not to be. If you were planning to buy a tablet, does this news encourage or discourage you to go for Samsung Galaxy Tab? Shoot in your comments. [via]
