cloud-business-office Guest post by Jennifer Williams Businesses operate differently from one another when it comes to their practices and operational standards, but a trend you’ll see lately is that many are jumping into using the Cloud as their main organizational and communication system. Businesses that have the Cloud have been found to be more successful when it comes to dealing with clients and prospective clients due to collaboration abilities and having everything kept in one main place for easy access. It also makes it easier for the company to train new and veteran employees when new software systems are implemented. One of those operational standards that should be used, especially by small businesses, is the Cloud. The Cloud helps protect all of your documents over the Internet, instead of your computer's hard drive or an external hard drive. There are five main reasons for running your business in the Cloud. They include the following:

1. Security

Believe it or not, security is the name of the game when it comes to operating your business in the Cloud. Some people think that having your documents in the Cloud on the internet is unsafe because others can see...
WordPress is one of the best blogging platforms which is embedded with lots of features. One of the good (or bad) features of WordPress is its post revision feature. It can be good when something goes wrong then we can easily back up the last working revision post. It can be bad because when you edit your posts a lot, you might create almost 10+ copies of same post in your database and this increases the size of your database which indirectly affects the loading time of your site.

post revision wordpress plugin

Post Revision Control is a WordPress plugin which limits your WordPress post revision and even offers you to disable the WordPress post revision feature. It’s on you how much limit you set, or you will disable it only when you are pretty much confident and knows how to use WordPress. This plugin helps in keeping database neat and clean and in addition to this, it removes extra load on database. Share your thoughts and views in the comments section and if you use any other tricks to optimize your blog’s database then share...

back-to-the-mac-event

Apple has announced that they are holding their next media event - Back to the Mac on October 20th 2010. As always, there isn't much information available from the press invite about the agenda of the event. But the aluminum looking facade indicates a new line of Macbook notebooks may be. The image of lion peaking out from behind the Apple logo might as well indicate a preview of Mac OS X 10.7. The previous code names for Mac OS X starting from 10.0 have all been related to some animals
  • Mac OS X 10.0: Cheetah
  • Mac OS X 10.1: Puma
  • Mac OS X 10.2: Jaguar
  • Mac OS X 10.3: Panther
  • Mac OS X 10.4: Tiger
  • Mac OS X 10.5: Leopard
  • Mac OS X 10.6: Snow Leopard
So we might as well see a preview of Mac OS X 10.7 Lion! But we hope it is much more than that. New Macbook Air models or a Touchscreen Mac? Who knows?! [via]
