Shocker of a news! GeoHot is back with a bang with Limera1n jailbreaking tool to jailbreak iOS 4.1 on iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad & iPod Touch 3G/4G. It's an untethered jailbreaking tool and can jailbreak iOS 4.1 as well as iOS 4.0. Please keep in mind that you will not be able to unlock if your baseband is higher than Ultrasn0w supported basebands.
Limera1n is a simple tool just like JailbreakMe and Spirit and doesn't take more than 5 minutes to jailbreak the iDevice. I repeat, if you want to unlock then you must wait for Pwnagetool for 4.1 iOS and should not update to iOS 4.1 at any cost until unlock tool is released.
Call it an exclusive story or a mere linkbait. BGR is reporting that Samsung's iPad killer Android tablet - Galaxy Tab will be launching on November 14th on Sprint for $399.
$399 is with a 2 year contract, while $599 without one. The rumors about Sprint getting the Galaxy tab were always making rounds, but the price tab suggested is way below the previously expected prices. Verizon is the other carrier expected to bring the Samsung's tablet to the US markets.
The previously rumored price of $1000 was always unreal, since Samsung won't be a competition to the Apple iPad whose 16GB 3G version costs $629. If the price of $599 is for real, then it is a great news for gadget freaks. The device's touchscreen offers 1,024-by-600 resolution, is powered by a 1 GHz processor and comes with 16 GB of internal memory, expandable to 32 GB of external memory.
As for the data plans, for the Galaxy Tab to compete with Apple's tablet AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon will have to offer data plans comparable to the iPad. AT&T currently has two iPad data plans: 250MB of 3G data per month for...

"I like it on the kitchen table."

These are just some of the many weird status updates from female Facebook users we are seeing in the last couple of days. If you are wondering the reason behind these provocative status updates, it is because October is the "Breast Cancer Awareness month" and it's all in support of the awareness campaign.
The "It" within the status refers to the purse and not anything else as you might have imagined. If you didn't get the link/idea yet, don't worry. We didn't get it either. But the idea of the grass-roots effort seems to be that the sexy-yet-enigmatic updates will encourage women and men to think about breast cancer, according to Time magazine.
Facebookers have been known to adapt weird status update memes. Last year, we had seen one viral campaign where many women updated their status with just the color, which was later found out to be the color of their bra. The other one was the Celebrity Doppelgänger week where people changed their profile pictures to a celebrity lookalike's pic.

Mozilla has just released the first beta of Firefox 4 for Android and Maemo. Firefox mobile is also known as Fennec, and it is built on the same platform as the desktop version and includes features like Firefox Sync, Add-ons, and the Awesome bar.
According to a blog post announcing the beta release, this release aims to increase performance and responsiveness using the two big architectures – Electrolysis and Layers. Firefox 4 Beta for mobile delivers a personalized, seamless and encrypted web experience across devices with the integrated Firefox Sync.
Firefox Sync surely looks exciting since browsing history, bookmarks, tabs, and passwords are synced across your mobile and desktop devices. The Awesome bar gives you access to recent history, bookmarks and tabs.
To be honest, the pre-alpha and alpha versions of Fennec were literally unusable. With the release of beta, I expect the browsing experience is much better. If you get to use it sooner than us, do let us know your experience with Firefox 4 beta for Mobile.

The much awaited SHAtter based GreenPois0n Jailbreaking tool will be released on 10th October. According to this tweet from the Chronic team member - @p0xixninja, GreenPois0n will be released at 10:10:10am of 10th October 2010! Not a bad date/time for the release!
GreenPois0n to Jailbreak iOS 4.1 on iPhone 4, iPod Touch 4G
GreenPois0n will be based on SHAtter bootrom exploit and will most probably be untethered jailbreak like Spirit and JailbreakMe. Unfortunately, GreenPois0n will only jailbreak the new 4th generation iDevices like iPhone 4, iPod Touch 4G, Apple TV and the iPad. It won't jailbreak iPhone 3GS/3G/2G and iPod Touch 3G/2G. iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 2G owners can use RedSn0w 0.9.6 for now.
iPhone 3GS & iPod Touch 3G users will be left without a solution for now at-least. This will be a major disappointment for many who were waiting to upgrade to iOS 4.1 & may be even iOS 4.2.
Apple TV 2G might also be supported, but it's not confirmed yet. iPad though has been confirmed to be supported by GreenPois0n tool. Greenpois0n will hactivate your iPhone 4 but won’t be able to unlock iOS...
The iPhone dev team have released RedSn0w 0.9.6 beta 1 for Windows to jailbreak iOS 4.1 on iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 2G. If your iPhone 3G relies on Ultrasn0w unlock, stay away from this Redsn0w release, as it updates your baseband to the latest version, making it impossible to unlock (for now).
Redsn0w 0.9.6 can also jailbreak iOS 4.2 on iPhone 3G and iPod touch 2G, but that comes with a high risk warning.
This is a beta release of redsn0w for the iPhone3G and iPod Touch 2G at FW 4.1 or 4.0. It uses the same pwnage2 DFU-mode exploit that we’ve been using since the 2.x days. It does not include the SHAtter exploit developed by pod2g. Nothing new is revealed to Apple with this jailbreak.
if you have an “MC” model of the ipt2g, your jailbreak will be tethered…sorry! (Consider rolling back to a FW supported by jailbreakme.com or spiritjb.com)
Guide to Jailbreak iOS 4.1 on iPhone 3G/iPod Touch 2G on Windows
The instructions to jailbreak iPhone 3G and/or iPod Touch 2G with iOS 4.1 on Windows remains exactly same to what we had written for Mac version. Anyway, here is a brief guide...
For the time immemorial, the rumors about CDMA version of iPhone for Verizon have been making rounds with the most favorite guess about the possible release date being January 2011. Now, the Wall Street Journal has called the Verizon iPhone, a done deal in its latest report.
The Wall Street Journal claims that multiple sources brief by Apple have said that a CDMA iPhone will land early next year on Verizon's network. CDMA is Verizon's 3G tech of choice. Sprint also uses CDMA, while T-Mobile and AT&T utilize GSM.
Common sense tells us that Apple has no other option but to go for a deal with Verizon to keep Google's Android at bay. AT&T has enjoyed the iPhone exclusive selling rights in the US for the last 3 years and they have had to face lot of criticism over the poor network performance, specially during the initial couple of years.
Verizon, on its part, has brought in some of the best Android based smartphones, like the Droid Series & Samsung Fascinate (Galaxy S). If at all the iPhone deal works out with Verizon, it will be a huge blow for Android and a...
