Google has officially announced their next flagship Android smartphone – Google Nexus S which is now manufactured by Samsung. A sequel to the hugely popular Nexus One, Nexus S also comes with a stock version of Android OS. Nexus S will be the first phone to come out with Gingerbread Android 2.3 OS.

Nexus S Availability

It will arrive on December 16th in US and December 20th on UK. In US, it will be available online and in-store from all Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile stores either unlocked or with a T-Mobile plan. In UK, Nexus S will hit on December 20th at Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy UK.

Nexus S Price

There are no official confirmation regarding the pricing of Google Nexus S. According to some rumors, in UK, Carphone Warehouse will be offering it either subsidized through Vodafone, free on a £35 a month contract, or SIM-free for the unsubsidized price of £549.95.

Best Buy US has released a press release

Nexus S is available after Dec. 16 in all Best Buy big box stores, the 157 Best Buy Mobile specialty stores and on Customers can purchase Nexus S for $529 as an unlocked phone without a contract. Nexus S optimized for T-Mobile’s network is available for $199 with a two-year service agreement and qualifying voice and data plan.
