[How to] View Full Referral Link in Google Analytics?

Guest post by Hyderali. Google Analytics is one of the popular products from Google for the webmasters community and is one of the best analytics software available online & that too for Free. Though, the analytics team is putting their every effort to eradicate any loopholes in the product. If you are using Google Analytics, you may know that under Traffic Source –> Referring Sites, you can view the sites link through which people visited your site. But the link which generally displays is not the whole link only the part of the link. For ex: - forum.com/showthread.php. Below I’ll explain you how to obtain full URL of a link through referral with a simple method.
  1. Login into your analytics Account
  2. Click on Filters Manager
  3. Click on Add Filter
  4. Write Filter Name ->  Full Referral
  5. Filter Type ->  Customer Filter ->  Advanced
  6. Field A -> Extract A -> Referral -> (.*)
  7. Leave Field B -> Blank
  8. Output to-> Constructor -> User Defined -> $A1
  9. Field A Required -> Yes
  10. Field B Required -> No
  11. Override Output Field -> Yes
  12. Case Sensitive -> No

A strong earthquake of magnitude 7.4 has struck South-west Pakistan, whose tremors were felt across Delhi, Gurgaon and other places in India, Afghanistan & even Dubai. And as always, Twitter has out-sped other media agencies like the printed press, TV press and the online media. The power of Twitter was there to see. Less than a minute after the earthquake happened, a sea-line of tweets started flowing in from tweeps in Karachi, Lahore, Delhi and Dubai. Twitter has always been known to be faster than traditional media in breaking the news, and it has proved it all over again. Considering that it's late in the night (almost 2am IST), many people from this part of the world weren't expected to be active on Twitter, but they still managed to surprise everyone. Were you still waiting for those silly looking sexy White iPhone 4? Yes, the ones which are same as the black iPhone 4, but with white panels. Well, they aren't here yet, but will be available starting Feb 27th at Best Buy. MacRumors reports that the above screenshot is from a Best Buy inventory database showing both 16 GB and 32 GB white iPhone 4 models listed with expected in-stock dates of February 27th. We are still not sure if Verizon iPhone users also get an option to go for the White iPhone 4. The white iPhone model was expected long back, but Apple had consistently cited problems with color consistency and light emissions from behind the screen as the reasons for the delay. I still don't understand how many would really care to go for these white models, specially since the fifth generation iPhones are expected later this year.
