Question: What Bing has which Google doesn’t?
Answer: Facebook collaboration.
I know! The Facebook collaboration is more than an year old news, but if you check out the Bing homepage, you will see the Like button at the bottom left corner! The ‘like’ button is for the Daily picture you see on the homepage. As Kip Kniskern notes, this is a new addition to the already clumsy Bing homepage.
Microsoft managed to strike an exclusive deal with Facebook last year for their social search. Bing has “Liked Results” and “Facebook Profile Search” which is Google’s biggest envy. On the other hand Facebook’s web results are powered by Bing. The new (simple) addition of Like button for daily pics just reiterates the strong collaboration.
And by the way, for now, you will see the Facebook Like button only on the US version.
