A great news for all your tablet junkies. HP has unveiled an impressive tablet – HP TouchPad which takes on the Apple’s iPad 2, Motorola Xoom and BlackBerry PlayBook. ‘Topaz’ as it was previously known, is probably the closest competitor we have seen for the iPad till now. HP TouchPad – Price and Availability

HP announced that the TouchPad will be available this summer. Insider reports point out to September 2011 as the most probable launch date for the TouchPad. There are no details as to where all it will be launched to start with. As for HP TouchPad price, it is still a mystery, as HP didn’t even give a clue about the pricing. I believe HP is playing a wait-n-watch game as iPad 2 is due to be announced soon (as soon as March 2011) and they would prefer to know the pricing of both iPad 2 and BlackBerry Playbook before pricing the TouchPad.

Update: HP Touchpad to release on July 1st. Demo Videos here
