copy-paste-image-gmail Google and Gmail hardly ever fail to innovate and surprise you with amazing yet useful features. The latest feature which they just added must come as a boon for many. Sending emails with images has just gotten easier! Just that, you need to be using the latest version of Google Chrome web browser. As you might already know, Google added image drag & drop feature to Gmail last year and now, they have made it even better with an option to copy & paste the images onto your messages! So, whenever you see an image which you would want to email, just copy the image and paste it into the Gmail compose page. The location of the copied image can be on your hard-disk, on a webpage or another email! Simply hit your Prt Scr button in Windows, or Command-Control-Shift-4 on your Mac and you can then paste your image into Gmail. Once pasted, you will be able to edit the image, sort of. For that, you would need to right click on the image, select the image size as small, medium, large or original size. But you cannot rotate or crop...

ideos-x5-review-1

Huawei launched their gen-next Android smartphones in India today under the Ideos brand - the Huawei Ideos U8800 X5, which will succeed its predecessor, Huawei Ideos X6 U8150. We had a chance to play with Ideos X5 and here is a quick review of the same. Ideos X5 is a mid-range Android smartphone promoted as "the Video Specialist" due to its 720p HD video recording capabilities. X5 is powered by 800MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and 512MB of RAM. It comes with 3.8-inch HVGA capacitive display at 480x800 resolution. The 5 megapixel camera comes with flash and captures 720p HD video. Just like the Ideos X6, the Ideos X5 comes with a built in microSD card of 2GB which can be extended upto 32GB. There's a second microphone in the back of the phone for noise cancellation, as well as SRS for audio enhancement and an FM radio. The major negative is that, X5 is powered by Android 2.2 Froyo, though the company promises the Gingerbread 2.3 upgrade very soon.

iphone-4-unlocked-us In a surprising turn of events, Apple has launched unlocked iPhone 4 in US starting today. Macrumors first reported that the factory unlocked iPhone 4 should be made available in the retail stores very soon, and it is already made available now. Though Apple has sold unlocked iPhone 4 in international markets like Hong Kong, Australia, Canada, India and others, this would be the first time ever that the US consumers will be having access to the unlocked iPhones. Apple has always tied up with the carriers like AT&T and Verizon for launching iPhone, but now users will have the liberty to choose the carrier of their choice without signing a contract.

Why Apple is launching Unlocked iPhone 4 in US?

It is very difficult to understand why Apple has flip-flopped on their policy of selling iPhones locked to the carrier's data plans. I could think of 3 possible reasons, which are inter-related in a way: 1. Apple was under pressure from Android in terms of sales in US, which is still a major market for them. 2. The mounting pressure from the ever-raising complaints with respect to call drops and lagging 3G performance on AT&T. 3. iPhone 5...

bbc-news-android

Good news for Android news junkies. The official Android app of BBC news is now made available to all the users worldwide and is currently available for download. The BBC News app was released a few weeks back and was restricted to the UK users. BBC has always followed this policy of releasing their app first for UK users exclusively and then to other parts of the world. The same happened with their apps for iPhone & iPad too. The look and feel of the Android app is pretty similar to the iOS version. It provides the latest in international news, business, politics, health, education, science and environment, technology and entertainment stories, as well as correspondent features and analysis. Full set of features listed below: • Simple design with scroll functionality to enable efficient browsing • Tap to reveal full-screen article and in-story video • On a story page, swipe sideways to read the next story • Sharing tools to post stories to a range of social networks, or email / SMS to a friend • Latest and breaking news ticker • An ‘Edit’ menu, allowing you to personalize the homescreen by adding and removing news categories to suit your preferences • Live...

angry-birds-facebook

In just around three months from now, you would be able to play (arguably) the most addictive and popular game, Angry Birds on (arguably) the most addictive and popular social network on the web, Facebook. Though it has been made available on Web browsers (Google Chrome), Netbooks (Intel App up Store) and desktops (Mac & Windows), the fun of playing it on Facebook should be different, considering the social extras it brings in to the game. This announcement was made by Peter Vesterbacka, who is Rovio's Chief Marketing Officer. Terming it as the "social game", Vesterbacka said, that Angry Birds would be free to download on Facebook but users could pay for “extras” – the revenue from which would be split between the two companies. Though we are not sure, what exactly he means by download, the take away from his announcement is that the game will be free for all 550 million users of Facebook. Angry Birds has been by far the most popular mobile game in recent times. It has been downloaded more than 200 million times till date, and has been a major selling point for several mobile platforms and service providers (Remember that...
