venture-ipad-case-1

Finding the right case for your iPad 2 can be tougher than finding a pearl in sea. Eeks! Let's cut the crap! In the coming days, we will be taking a look at some of the best iPad 2 cases you can buy, depending upon your requirements and budget. The first one we have is an awesome folio case for iPad 2, called Venture Stand case by Case-Mate! iPad 2 was released by Apple earlier this year along with a newly designed Smart Cover, which was initially well received by many. But then, some people started seeing its shortcomings and preferred to have a case with traditional design like the ones for the original iPad. Case-Mate Venture fits in that category.

Venture was a huge hit with the original iPad and no wonder the company came out with a version specifically designed for iPad 2 as well. Venture comes with a built-in stand that allows iPad 2 to be viewed in landscape mode which is great for viewing movies or presentations. Unlike the smart...
citibank-hacked In a shocking incident, the Citigroup has confirmed that a security breach may have given hackers access to the data of hundreds of thousands of citi bank credit card customers. The hack pertains to the details of North American customers alone. The bank says approximately 1% of its customers were affected. Considering the fact that the bank has around 21 million customers, even a small percentage of that will equate to quite a large number. The hackers might have got the information pertaining to the customers' names, credit card numbers, addresses and e-mail addresses. Citigroup said that the data like SSN, date of birth, card expiration date and card security code were not compromised, which should bring some relief to the affected customers. Sony was hit by a series of cyber attacks in recent times, but the security breach of a major banking entity like Citi should ring the alarm bells, specially since the banks are known to provide fool-proof security to their customers' data. Though the extent of breach appears to be small and should not pose a direct threat as such to the customers, Citigroup needs to ramp up their encryption mechanisms. According to...

But someone who has realized that is T-Mobile. The Dutch based telecom giant has come out with an advertisement which completely exploits utilizes the popularity of the game, with a life-sized version of Angry Birds! They created a custom level where people could aim the birds on an iPhone and crash them on the pigs in a real-life scene! The ad was directed by Jason Romeyko. He built a huge set in Barcelona, Spain and let people test it while...

block-websites

What I do on the internet and what I was supposed to do isn't always the same. I bet my lovely iPad 1*, that it is the case with you and everyone else. Over the years I have struggled to keep myself away from distracting (yet lovely) websites like Facebook, Twitter, Digg, Reddit, Youtube and others. No wonder most of the work places block these websites, hoping it would increase productivity of their employees. But, what about keeping away the distracting and time consuming websites at home? Well, we have put together some of the best tools to keep you away from them completely or partially depending upon which browser and OS you are using. 1. Chrome Nanny - Chrome Nanny is a simple extension for Google Chrome which can be used to block particular websites. You can set up white-lists, black-lists and the extent to which the black-listed web sites are blocked. It provides all the flexibility you would need to effectively use your time online and can also be disabled or uninstalled with a click. But then, the purpose is to be focused, right? 2. Website Blocker - This free extension for...
homomorphic-encryption The phrase Homomorphic Encryption might sound heavy, specially if you are hearing it for the first time, but its whole purpose is to simplify your database and information solutions. Let's try to understand the term better before getting to know all about it. Homomorphic encryption alludes to an encryption where plain texts and cipher texts both are treated with an equivalent algebraic function. Now, the plain text and the cipher texts might also be not related but the emphasis is on the algebraic operation that works on both of them. This encryption method is all the rage at the moment, more so because homomorphic encryptions can be specifically designed and altered to suit particular purposes. Let’s understand some of these very specific uses. Secure Watermarking - Watermarking is a new age method of securing content and data. However, over the years too many faulty systems of watermarking had made it very easy for people to encrypt important data without the owners' knowledge. With homomorphic encryption however, this problem is as good as gone. The encryption method concentrates on altering the ciphering to suit the individual data, effectively individualising the watermark for the data. Cloud Computing - The logistics...

iOS 5 Features List

notification-center 1. Notifications Center - If you have been an iOS user, you would know how badly a revamp was needed for the notification system. Well, Apple has finally heard your voice and has brought out this Notification center, where you can keep track of the new email, texts, friend requests and more, all in one convenient location. one-more-thing

Those who are familiar with Apple's (or rather Steve Jobs') keynotes would know about his stereotypical "And one more thing..." phrase which, in recent times, is the most expected, rumored and discussed part, even more than the actual keynote! Steve Jobs usually starts his keynote by discussing the sales figures of Apple products and moves on to discuss about some new features or updates relating to the Apple products. He bluffs with some concluding remarks, thanks the attendees, turns to leave the stage, then turns back and says "But there is one more thing...". More often than not, he is greeted with a huge commotion and cheers from the attendees, who are obviously expecting something big from Steve. Steve Jobs will be kicking off WWDC 2011 in a while and below, I have tried to list down most of the products revealed as "One more thing..." -

>> Airport - The very first "One more thing..." (1999)

12 years back, at Macworld Expo in San Fransisco, Steve Jobs made his first ever "One more thing..." remark when he announced the AirPort base station and the AirPort card.
