Like it or not, until next year (that is if Apple doesn’t change their launch strategy), we’ll have to call the latest iPad version, the new iPad. It really doesn’t get much simpler than that. I only wonder, how will we refer to this new iPad when the next iPad will come. I mean, obviously, the next iPad will be, for a short period, the new iPad. So, basically, we’ll have 2 new iPads. Ah, well… To end this brouhaha, let’s talk about the prices and availability of the New iPad.

Prices and Availability of The New iPad

A very good news about the launch of the new iPad is that it came with the usual price slash and we can now get the iPad 2 for $100 off. But, if the new iPad managed to blow your mind with Retina Display, 4G LTE and 5MP iSight camera, then you should know that pre-orders have already started!

New iPad Models and Their Prices

If you pre-order your new iPad now, you’ll be among the first ones to get it in your hands, as it will be officially release on March 16. Things didn’t change too much in terms of models: storage remained the same – we didn’t see more than 64 GB; prices remained the same. It’s a strategy that Apple maintains and it is working out very well! That’s how they’ve managed to sell an incredible amount of 315 million devices!

“iPhone, iPad, iPod touch are all based on iOS and we have now sold an astonishing 315 million devices through last year, 62 million in Q4 2011.”

So, we have the same, “old” pricing scheme:

Wi-Fi Models:

  • 16 GB is $499
  • 32GB is $599
  • 64GB is $699

Wi-Fi + 4G Models:

  • 16 GB is $629
  • 32GB is $729
  • 64GB is $829
