Samsung finally unraveled its latest effort, the much hyped Galaxy S III. Apart from the amazing applications and utilities, the device comes packed with some amazing specifications that will certainly end up justifying it’s not so cheap price tag. We will all agree that what makes SG S3 great are actually its smart features and technological innovations in the software field.

Samsung Galaxy S3 Special Features
Many will say (including myself) that the hardware improvement isn’t that big. The resolution isn’t better than iPhone 4S’, the battery doesn’t seem too powerful to sustain all these draining applications and somebody could complain about the lack of a “plus” AMOLED screen, not to mention the fact that LTE will work only on several countries.
It seems that the bright minds at Samsung have thought about this, too. That’s why, probably, they’ve created some extra services and features incorporated into the device in order to make an impact on the already overcrowded mobile phone market. The speakers presenting the device highlighted the S Health app which is basically a personal wellness application and the Music Hub, a very special cloud storage service that can offer users access to a database of over 17 million songs.
Also, for those who hear a song and want to know what band plays the song and what’s the name of the track, Samsung incorporated the “Scan and Match” feature. Music Hub will become available in seven countries, while the “Scan and Match” will go on trial only in six countries. A new photo help buddy has been added by Samsung as well. The application performs face recognition on the photo and tags each individual then automatically sends the picture via email. How simple!
Impressive Features That Make SGS3 Unique
Samsung hasn’t forgot about entertainment and what a big part of people lives it has become today. So it offers a whole set of hubs which include a video hub specialized on TV and movies. Another interesting speck added to the Galaxy S3 is the SmartStay that intelligently detects your face when you are looking right at the screen. But the most interesting part comes next.
Apparently, Samsung wants a shot at rivaling Apple in artificial intelligence and has added S Voice, thus enabling voice commands. Also, the speakers stated that the device will enable eight language modes among which we find Spanish, German, Korean, American or British English. Considering the fact that Samsung boasts launching the Galaxy S 3 into 145 countries, it probably wouldn’t hurt to add more languages to that list. Here is the expanded list of special features inside Samsung Galaxy S3:
- S-Voice natural language commands and dictation
- Smart Stay eye tracking
- Free cloud storage from Dropbox for 2 years – 50 GB
- Active noise cancellation with dedicated mic
- Wireless charging (I absolutely love this)
- Social tag
- Direct call
- Smart alert
- S Beam
- All share play
- All share cast
- Buddy photo share
- Pop up play
