Once the phone case is revealed you know: screen size, connector size, form factor, sim type… Same thing happened for iphone 4. But noone still know what is inside a6, or the display type (igzo?), or the amount of ram. As for the software, it was announced at the iOS 6 preview and we cannot say it has been leaked. Further iOS 6 has been released in beta some months ago, with embedded information about screen resolution and other features. So, the iPhone 5 wasn’t a surprise, but I think the iPhone 4 wasn’t a surprise, too. The only surprise was iPhone 4S, when everyone expected a completely different device.
