At a special event today, Lava, one of the top mobile brands in India, has launched the Iris Pro 30, the company’s latest flagship smartphone, with the price of INR 15999 (about 260 USD). The smartphone comes with a 4.7-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display based on OGS lava-iris-pro-30technology and Corning Gorilla glass protection. A 1.2 GHz quad-core processor is powering the device which also has 1GB RAM, only 4GB of internal memory which is expandable up to 32GB with the microSD.

The Iris Pro 30 is touted as India’s lightest smartphone in the 4.7” or more screen size category, with a weight of only 114 grams, thanks to its light magnesium alloy body. The smartphone isn’t too thick, as well, measuring only 7.5mm. It runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS. The Content Adaptive backlight control automatically reduces screen brightness for 30% more battery life which has a capacity of 2000mAh. The device is also dual-SIM, has a 8MP rear camera with dual LED Flash, Blue glass filter and a 3MP front-facing camera. The camera has special features like face detection and four-directional panoramic view. Other features of the smartphone include noise cancellation with dual microphones, 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, USB OTG, the classic 3.5mm audio jack and FM Radio. Lava Iris Pro 30 will be available in Black color with silver metal bezel and you will be able to order it starting with next week.
