Our previous roundup with the best new Android apps in the Play Store was pretty balanced, but this week’s list contains plenty of games, and I’m sure you won’t mind this. Also, in the apps enlisted below you will find many paid games, which simply ensures that the apps you will buy and download are professionally made and of high-quality.

For the week ending on 26th January, we have selected some really cool Android games – a shooter, a brain & puzzle game, one for ski lovers and some others. Productivity-wise, you will find apps to clean your Android device and make it speedier, one to help you delete all the contents on your phone and another one that tries to let put biometrics in your daily life.

Deus Ex: The Fall ($6.99)

deus-exDeus Ex: The Fall has been previously available for iOS users and has actually received plenty of awards. It’s not a cheap game, but it’s one that comes with high-definition gaming and plenty of features that make it an amazing shooter game to be played on your Android device. The intuitive touch screen controls, high impact action and combat, immersive storyline and fully explorable, stunning environments are only some of the reasons why you should give it a try.

The Cleaner (Free)the-cleaner

One of the reasons why your Android smartphone might be running slower is because there’s not too much storage space available on it. The new app The Cleaner will help you with that as it will clear redundant files, free up storage space, clear up your RAM, and overall, speed up your Android device. You can also schedule automatic maintenance checks and customize the interface with your favorite theme.

Naught 2 ($0.99)

naught-2Albeit Naught 2 is a sequel to the first Naught game, by looking at the game, you will realize that it’s quite similar in looks with Limbo, in case you have played that popular indie game. Naught 2 is an adventure and platform Android game where you play with gravity to guide Naught to overcome the darkness. The game has seen important improvements over the first release and what’s really important is that full tablet support has also been made available.

Udemy (Free)udemy

The Udemy Android app is touted as “the world’s largest destination for on-demand, online courses” and is available for a free download. Install the app to explore thousands of courses on such topics as programming, entrepreneurship, photography, yoga, marketing, salsa, cake decorating, design and plenty others. Udemy has been previously available only as a web service, but now it has launched for Android users, as well.

The game comes with plenty of useful features, such as the ability to customize your character, choose dozens of lethal weapons, from knives to magical staffs, explore dungeons filled with threatening creatures, fight Angry Bosses, loot gold and explore secret areas. It has fast and fluid controls, deep and engaging combat mechanics, and is also integrated with Google Play Game’s services.

iShredder 3 Pro ($2.99)ishredder

If you want to sell your Android smartphone, you need to make sure that all your data is wiped of the device and there’s not a single trace left of it. iShredder 3 Pro for Android is a really professional app that delete securely files, folders, all your photos and contacts and even the free space left. ERGO ($3.99)ergo

The recently launched ERGO app for Android users doesn’t have a great rating, but that’s because the app has just been released and I’m confident it’ll get better in the future. This is a biometric authentication app which uses the unique geometry of your ear to allegedly secure your opening of your Android smartphone. You just need to press the ear to the center of the phone so that the app can capture a scan of your ear and use for further authentification.

Strata ($2.99)

strataStrata is a cool new Android Brain & Puzzle indie game that you’ll become immediately addicted to. Your mission consists in strategically layering colored ribbons to match a pattern – and believe me, this will put your brain to work! The puzzles are getting more and more difficult and you will need to change your tactics accordingly. The game looks just as great on your Android tablet as it does on your phone and it comes with some awesome sound in the background.

Need for Speed Network (Free)need-for-speed-network

The new Need for Speed Network app released for Android users, is, as you’ve probably guessed, a companion app for those that have installed the latest Need for Speed Rivals game on their Xbox 360, PS3, PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The app contains specific content and also comes with the navigator mode which lets you view the world map, see where your friends are in Redview County and set Waypoints.
