Usually, when you want to buy a new smartphone, be it an iPhone or anything else, you must agree to a 2-year contract agreement with the carrier. You get the device for a lower price, but you will pay monthly fees which constitute the telecom provider’s profit. There are plenty of great offers with a 2-year contract, but if you’d rather prefer prepaid plans, then this sweet deal might be of interest to you.
Virgin Mobile has discounted the 16 GB iPhone 5s model to just $495 and the 16 GB iPhone 5c one to $405, which constitutes a 10% price slash. Here are all the prices for the different storage models:
- iPhone 5s (16GB) – $494.99
- iPhone 5s (32GB) – $584.99
- iPhone 5s (64GB) – $674.99
- iPhone 5c (16GB) – $404.99
- iPhone 5c (32GB) – $494.99
Besides the iPhone 5s and the iPhone 5c, you can also buy the 8GB of the iPhone 4 for $159.99 unsubsidized, which is a 20% price cut. The 8GB version of the iPhone 4s is also available for a 20% price cut and you will have to get out of your pocket $279.99 to get it. Virgin Mobile has been running other similar deals for the iPhone 5, but the units are now out of stock.
This is a web-exclusive deal, so you won’t find these prices in brick-and-mortar stores. Just to remind you, Apple’s normal retail pricing is $649 for the 16GB iPhone 5s and $549 for the 16GB iPhone 5c, so if you’re looking for a prepaid plan and you also have dealt with Virgin Mobile before, now a whole subsidiary of Sprint, then these are some sweet deals that you shouldn’t miss.
Note: Please don’t mistake ‘Unsubsidized’ for ‘Factory unlocked’. The iPhone will still be locked to Virgin Mobile, while you are free to choose and change the voice & data monthly plans anytime as you like.
