We’ve seen plenty of tools and gadgets launched on the market to help you keep track of your valuables wirelessly, but almost all of them have appeared thanks to crowd-funding campaigns. Nokia is now entering this market, with the Treasure Tag accessory, which acts as a smart peripheral that syncs with Lumia devices to let you keep track of keys, wallets, bags and other  items that you’re afraid of losing. Beingtreasure-tag-nokia rumored since last summer, Nokia has announced that it would go on sale in April for $30.

The tag will be available in four colors: cyan, yellow, white, black and will use NFC or Bluetooth, along with an accompanying app that will pair with a Lumia device. However, in order for the device to work, you will need to have the Lumia Black update installed. You can link as many as four different Treasure Tags to your Lumia device. They tags are said to have up to six months of battery life, and they come with a coin cell battery that is replaceable.

The tags are pretty small, measuring 30 x 30 x 10mm, which is roughly the size of a match box, and weigh only 13g. A cool feature is that each tag that you have connected to your Lumia device can be transformed into a Live Tile on your screen and will have the same color as the physical accessory itself. There will also be third party apps in the future as Treasure Tag supports Android and iOS devices, but we don’t have more details at the moment.
