Following the success of their Z1 model, Sony has unveiled today at the Mobile World Congress a new flagship device, the Xperia Z2. There are lots of upgraded specs in the new Sony Xperia Z2, making it one of the most powerful devices on the market at this moment. The launch event was pretty successful as it ended with a really cool video showcasing some unheard before song of Michael Jackson. Now, to talk about the features of the smartphone itself.

The device also has a 5.2 inch screen and it offers video recording at 4K resolution. The device will come in three flavors, white, black and purple and it will ship with noise cancellation headphone. In terms of availability, you will be able to purchase the device in March, though we don’t know its price yet. Let’s have a look at the tech specs, some of which being really impressive:

Despite packing so many inside, it’s a pretty slim smartphone, at only 8.2 mm. Sony has packed the Z2 with a lot of features, some of the more important being the acclaimed Handycam technology, as well as the top notch noise cancellation technology which is allegedly able to filter out up to 98% of the background noise. The Sony Xperia Z2 will also feature augmented reality technology, but we don’t know at the moment exactly how it will work .

I often wonder, where is technology heading? What do all of these advances mean for us and for our future? I sometimes miss the days when I didn’t know how to use a floppy disk, or how a computer CPU works, but now, until I find an answer to my questions, I’ll keep tracking these advances and show everything I find to those who share my interests.
