After the grand success of LG G2, the Korean technology giant today launched its current flagship smartphone, LG G3 in India. The phone comes in two storage options — 16GB version which has been priced at Rs 47,990, and the 32GB variant which costs Rs 50,990. Though, you might find better deals at e-commerce site Infibeam.

The company touts the incredibly sharp 5.5-inch display the handset sports. LG claims that this is four times the resolution of HD, and almost two times higher than a full HD (1920 x 1080) display. As it has become the norm these days, the company has managed to keep the screen ratio high. At 76.4 percent, the screen dominates the front panel coupling thin bezels across.

Specifications of LG G3

  • Display: 5.5-inch; 538ppi; Res: 2560 x 1440
  • Camera: 13MP with OIS+ and Laser Auto Focus / Front 2.1MP
  • Operating System: Android 4.4.2
  • Processor: 2.5GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 801
  • RAM: 2/3GB
  • Battery: 3,000mAh
  • Connectivity: 4G/ LTE/ 3G/ Wifi / Bluetooth

While the smartphone looks pretty much similar to its predecessor LG G2 or Nexus 5 (which was based on LG G2), there are a few noticeable changes. On the specs front, the device sports a new processor clocking at faster speeds, and it now packs in more RAM as well. Cell shutterbugs would like the 2.1MP camera on the front — as it will definitely help in clicking clearer selfies.

LG G3 also offers several security features, including the intuitive Knock Code which allows users to unlock their phone using pattern of taps. To keep your files protected, there is Content Lock, which many of us might find handy.

The company is providing Rs 15,000 worth of offers and plans. You could snag Rs 5,000 discount on LG G Watch which is presently priced at south of Rs 15,000. Plus, the company is giving away Rs 3,500 worth of QuickCircle Case — available in five colors — for free with every G3. In case you ever break the glass of your display,LG  is offering One Time Screen replacement worth Rs 6,500.

LG’s friendship with Bollywood legend actor Amitabh Bachchan wasn’t limited to ads. To all the fans, the company is launching 15,000 handsets with Big B’s signature sculpted onto the back-panel.

LG has also launched several accessories alongside the G3 handset. There is LG Tone InfinimTM , a Bluetooth stereo headset with retractable wire management technology and jog buttons for effortless search. The company says that it also features verbal notifications of sorts– letting you know who is calling you.

Alongside the Bluetooth headset, there is a Wireless Charger as well, which is compatible with Qi’s wireless power charging technology. No word on pricing, though.
