It seems that emerging markets represent an important audience for phone makers, as these are releasing handsets with affordable prices. LG is one of the companies that joins this trend with the newly announced L Fino and L Bello 3G smartphones. The IFA tech conference in Berlin is a few weeks away, but LG has remained faithful to its tradition of announcing new hardware ahead of big trade shows.
The LG L Bello and LG L Fino are the two new members of LG’s L Series smartphones, featuring a design similar to the flagship LG G3. The two version come with rear-mounted buttons, but sport more entry-level specs. Thank God they weren’t branded under yet another different LG G3-ish name, as we already have the LG G3 Beat, the LG G3 A and the LG G3 Stylus. Let’s have a look at some of the most important tech specs for the two new smartphones:

LG L Bello

  • 5-inch 854×480 display
  • 1.3GHz quad-core processor
  • 8-megapixel rear, 1-megapixel front cameras
  • 8GB of storage
  • 1GB of RAM
  • 21Mbps HSPA+ connectivity
  • 138.2 x 70.6 x 10.7mm
  • 2540mAh battery
  • Android 4.4.2 KitKat
  • White, black and gold color options

We can see that the L Bello is the best version of the two new handsets, and it will consequently be available with a slightly bigger price. The L Bello and L Fino also include many of the LG G3 flagship’s software features, like the Knock Code lock screen security, Touch & Shoot for tapping anywhere on the display to focus and capture a photo and QuickCircle Case compatibility.

LG L Fino

  • 4.5-inch 800×480 display
  • 1.2GHz quad-core processor
  • 8-megapixel rear, VGA front cameras
  • 4GB of storage
  • 1GB of RAM
  • 21Mbps HSPA+ connectivity
  • 127.5 x 67.9 x 11.9mm
  • 1900mAh battery
  • Android 4.4.2 KitKat
  • White, black, gold, red and green colors

Speaking of the new release, Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of the LG Electronics Mobile Communications, said the following:

“With their competitive specs and accessible pricing, we have high hopes for the L Fino and L Bello to continue our successful expansion into emerging markets. Our newest L Series smartphones represent the best of LG in design, hardware and UX as well as our commitment to bringing best smartphone experience to 3G customers as many as possible.”

At the moment, pricing hasn’t been made public, but it should be on par with other recently announced mid-range smartphones. According to LG, the L Bello and L Fino will be available in “key 3G markets” in Latin America this month, with rollouts in Europe, Asia and the Commonwealth of Independent States to follow after that.
