If you’re looking to jailbreak your new iOS 8 iPod, iPhone or iPad, then you can use the updated Pangu Jailbreak tool that comes with new useful features. The Pangu Team announced the release of Pangu 1.2.0 which brings some notable fixes for the iOS 8 jailbreak tool and adds new features, as well.
The latest Pangu 1.2.1 version brings improvements that have already been released via the untether package available in Cydia. The overall jailbreak process when using the tool has been further optimized, and support for the restore function for iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 has been, added, as well. Let’s have a look at the latest new features and improvements that have rolled out in the past 3 days:
- Integrated with the latest Cydia version
- Fixed issues which were draining the CPU on 32bit devices
- Fix Safari reloading bug and occasionally crash problems
- Optimized jailbreak process
- Restore function now supports iPad Air2/iPad Mini3
The Pangu team suggests that users should not delete the file “com.apple.mobile.softwareupdated.plist” or disable the service because it will make devices unable to reboot. Also, before proceeding with the Pangu jailbreak, make sure to have a local backup of your iDevice using iTunes since a simple iCloud backup won’t do if ou need to restore manually.
However, you will be able to download and install Pangu just on Windows as the Mac version is still in the works. The tool will work with the following iDevices:
- iPod Touch
- iPhone 4S
- iPhone 5/5s/5s
- iPhone 6/6 Plus
- iPad Mini 2/3
- iPad/ iPad Air 2/3
