The Motorola made Google Nexus 6 has been listed on the Indian Play Store at an expectedly huge price of Rs.44,000 and Rs.49,000 for the 32GB and 64GB versions respectively. The Nexus 6 was announced in the US last month and went on sale earlier this week. Motorola had clarified that the phone will go on sale in 28 other countries (including India) ‘later this year’, so it is no surprise to see the phone on the Google India Play Store. In the UK, prices start at £499 for the 32GB and will go up to £549 for the 64GB variant.

The phone has been priced at $649 in the US, so it was obvious that it would be priced around Rs.45,000 in India. Unlike the previous Nexus phones, Google isn’t heavily subsidizing the Nexus 6. The phone carries top notch specs overall. It features a 6-inch Quad HD display, powered by a 3220 mAh battery that’s just as big. To be more exact, we’re talking about a 5.96-inch 1440×2560 display with 493 ppi. The smartphone also comes wit Motorola Turbo Charger which gets up to an additional 6 hours of battery life in just 5 minutes.

The smartphone is powered by a quad-core 2.7GHz Snapdragon 805 processor alongisde the Adreno 420 GPU. It sports a 13 megapixel camera which comes with Optical Image Stabilization and HDR+ along with a 2-megapixel front camera. The giant smartphone also sports dual front-facing stereo speakers, which should deliver a great sound experience.

Unlike before, Google isn’t compromising on the battery and camera, and instead pitching it as a high-quality flagship device capable of running the Android 5.0 Lollipop to its fullest. Although Google hasn’t revealed how many units they had on sale on the first day in the US, it went out of stock pretty soon.

In India, Google is listing both the Midnight Blue and Cloud White colors, unlike a single color option with the Nexus 9. The listing says coming soon, and it is expected to go on sale in India and several other countries starting from December. As per the Google Play support page Nexus 6 will be available in Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and United Kingdom. The phone has been listed on Flipkart as well.
